I don't consider myself a person who necessarily "has a life". I exist in a series of monotonous routines, that usually satisfies me. I've been this way most of my life. Work was relatively quiet all morning so I decided not to go anywhere on lunch and instead tear the sunroom apart so I could rearrange it for the winter, and to potentially make room for a new Christmas tree, if we get one. An exciting turn of events this morning. I saw a pileated woodpecker in the backyard. I was sitting on the throne in the powder room off the kitchen an hour ago, just looking out the window, when I saw this massive bird fly up into one of the oak trees. I finally cleaned the outside of the windows (mostly) after two years. It is rather mild out today, but the temperature is coupled with a relentless wind that just made the whole task a pain. The weather is unseasonably warm today. It says it is 64 degrees outside, but it feels like upper 70s. And there's a stuffiness to the air, even though it is quite windy.
